TAFI’s stakeholders’ showcade highlights growht strategies for travel sector – ET TravelWorld

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) Western India Chapter hosted its Stakeholders Showcase 2025 in Mumbai, gathering more than 160 travel professionals from Mumbai and Pune, alongside 13 established travel brands, for an evening of business networking and industry dialogue.

Opening the event, TAFI Western India Chairman Jay Kantawala welcomed members and partners, underlining the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange in a rapidly changing tourism market. Secretary Arun Iyer outlined the evening’s agenda, inviting speakers and partners to present insights tailored for travel professionals.

A highlight of the event was a presentation from Sharad Gowani, Head – West & South India at VFS Global, accompanied by Anahita Avari, Head Sales South Asia, who introduced exclusive value-added services designed for TAFI members. Their session outlined strategies for simplifying visa processes and enhancing service delivery for travel agents.

Industry thought leader Sudhir Patil, Founder of Veena World, delivered a masterclass on business growth and scalability, offering practical strategies drawn from his entrepreneurial journey. His talk encouraged members to rethink their growth plans in light of shifting customer expectations and industry trends.

TAFI National President Ajay Prakash addressed the gathering, praising the community’s resilience and inviting younger travel professionals to actively participate in the federation’s future. Committee member Satbir Narula echoed this sentiment, calling on the fraternity to embrace innovation and adaptability.

The showcase also featured participation from hotels, DMCs, travel tech companies, and insurance providers, fostering new business connections. The evening concluded with entertainment, prize draws, and networking over cocktails and dinner, leaving attendees optimistic about future collaborations.
