The much-awaited Malaysia Food & Cultural Festival 2025 was officially inaugurated today at HONK, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity. The event, organised by Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre, offers an immersive experience showcasing Malaysia’s culinary heritage and culture, running from February 17 to 23, 2025.
The festival was inaugurated by H E Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, alongside Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali, Director of Tourism Malaysia Delhi. The grand opening was attended by Ambassadors from ASEAN, as well as distinguished guests from the travel, hospitality, and media industries. Pullman New Delhi Aerocity is hosting the event, offering guests a chance to experience the authentic flavours of Malaysia. HONK, the hotel’s signature pan-Asian restaurant, serves as the perfect venue, blending culinary traditions and cultural experiences into a unique dining journey.
Speaking at the launch, Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali remarked, “Malaysia is renowned for its diverse and flavourful cuisine, influenced by a fusion of Malay, Chinese, and Indian traditions. We are excited to bring this experience to India, a key market for Malaysia. Through this festival, we invite Indian travellers to explore Malaysia not just as a travel destination, but also as a food lover’s paradise.”
The festival features a curated menu by Chef Faridul Ataras Ab Razak and Chef Irwan Mohd Nor, presenting Malaysian favourites such as Nasi Lemak, Curry Mee, Chicken Rendang, Penang Fried Kway Teow, and Laksa Johor. Vivian CHU, Hotel Manager at ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre, shared, “We are honoured to bring the authentic flavours of Malaysia to New Delhi, offering an unforgettable dining experience.”
Adabi Consumer Industries, a leading Malaysian food brand, enhances the authenticity of the festival by showcasing premium Malaysian ingredients and spices.
