Hilton has announced the signing of Hilton Udaipur, marking its debut in Rajasthan’s renowned ‘City of Lakes’ and further strengthening the brand’s presence in northern India. Set to open in early 2026 in partnership with Elysian Hotels Private Limited, the 118-room Hilton Udaipur will provide views of iconic attractions, including Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake, and seamless connectivity to the city’s main transport hubs, making it a strategic addition to the destination.
Hilton currently operates two hotels in Rajasthan — Hilton Jaipur and DoubleTree by Hilton Jaipur Amer — and this signing follows the brand’s recent introduction of the Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Jaipur. “The signing of our first Hilton in Udaipur marks a significant growth milestone for us, aligning with our strategic plan to expand in India’s most treasured tourism locations,” shared Zubin Saxena, Senior Vice President and Regional Head for Hilton, South Asia. Highlighting Udaipur’s unique appeal, Saxena added, “Known as the ‘Venice of the East,’ Udaipur offers a prime location for both tourism and weddings, which positions us to meet the city’s rising demand for high-quality accommodation.”
Hilton Udaipur will feature 118 elegantly designed rooms and suites set within lush gardens, celebrating Udaipur’s architectural and cultural heritage. Aiming to cater to the burgeoning destination wedding market, the property will offer expansive event spaces totalling over 2,200 square meters, including grand lawns and courtyards. With four diverse dining outlets and extensive leisure facilities, such as an outdoor pool, spa, fitness centre, and executive lounge, the hotel will appeal to leisure and business travellers alike.Ravindra Singh, Director, Elysian Hotels, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “This venture, our first in hospitality, brings the globally celebrated Hilton brand to Udaipur. Hilton Udaipur will redefine hospitality standards in the lake precinct, contributing to the city’s growing allure as a preferred destination for tourism and weddings.”
With this latest addition, Hilton’s South Asia portfolio reaches 55 trading and pipeline hotels, a number the company aims to expand to 75 in the coming years. This growth aligns with Hilton’s commitment to solidifying its footprint in the competitive South Asian market, reinforcing its position as a leading hospitality brand in the region.
