AYANA Bali, an iconic integrated resort destination located on the stunning Jimbaran Bay, is currently undergoing an extensive renovation to elevate the luxury experience for its guests while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability and the region’s cultural heritage.
The renovation encompasses both AYANA Villas and AYANA Resort, with a focus on reimagining the villas’ interiors and resort rooms to reflect a perfect balance between modern design and Balinese tradition.
The villas, including the One-Bedroom Ocean Front Cliff Villa, One-Bedroom Ocean View Cliff Villa, and One-Bedroom Ocean View Villa, will feature refreshed designs with locally sourced materials, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding the property. The project, led by Tokyo-based SPIN Design Studio, aims to bring a contemporary touch to the classic Balinese aesthetics.
Key updates include the redesign of the Cliff Villas, where sliding doors will replace traditional windows, enhancing airflow and reducing the need for artificial cooling, further reflecting AYANA’s sustainability goals. The use of repurposed stone and wood carvings in the new interiors ensures the property stays connected to its cultural roots while offering guests a modern, comfortable environment.
AYANA Resort is also undergoing renovations, which are scheduled to be completed in two phases. The West Building is set for completion by December 2024, with the East Building renovations expected to conclude by March 2025.
Giordano Faggioli, General Manager of AYANA Bali, said, “AYANA Villas and AYANA Resort are entering an exciting new chapter, where timeless Balinese charm meets contemporary innovation. By reimagining our spaces, we’re creating an exquisite journey for our guests, one that harmonises luxury, sustainability, and our breathtaking natural surroundings.”
