Air India Express has added two new stations—Jammu and Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair)—to its growing domestic network, enhancing connectivity within India. Starting December 1, 2024, Jammu will have direct flights to Delhi and Srinagar, while Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) will connect directly with Bengaluru and Kolkata. Bookings for these routes are available on the airline’s website, mobile app, and other booking platforms.
Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, expressed excitement about the expansion, highlighting that Air India Express continues to grow its domestic presence with an expanding fleet and new stations, adding capacity in the north-east and southern regions. This further supports the airline’s mission to serve as “India’s Smart Connector.”

From Jammu, Air India Express will operate 14 weekly flights directly connecting Delhi and Srinagar and offer one-stop connectivity to nine additional domestic destinations such as Bengaluru, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Jaipur, as well as three international destinations: Bahrain, Dammam, and Muscat.
From Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), 21 weekly flights will connect directly to Bengaluru and Kolkata, with one-stop access to 15 domestic destinations, including Delhi, Chennai, and Lucknow, plus one international destination, Abu Dhabi.
In Srinagar, the airline will operate 53 weekly flights, offering direct connections to Delhi, Hyderabad, and Jammu and one-stop connections to 18 domestic destinations including Ayodhya, Chennai, and Varanasi, along with six international routes including Bahrain, Dammam, and Muscat. Delhi will see 307 weekly flights from Air India Express, with direct service to 17 domestic locations like Lucknow, Pune, and Srinagar, and four international destinations: Bahrain, Dammam, Muscat, and Sharjah. Additionally, Delhi will offer one-stop connectivity to destinations like Agartala, Thiruvananthapuram, and six international cities including Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Bengaluru has 379 weekly Air India Express flights with direct links to 25 domestic destinations such as Gwalior, Surat, and Varanasi, and one international destination, Abu Dhabi. The airline also provides one-stop connections to Amritsar, Imphal, and 13 international locations, including Riyadh and Singapore.
Kolkata, with 188 weekly flights, connects directly to 14 domestic destinations, including Agartala, Indore, and Varanasi. It offers one-stop connections to 13 more domestic destinations and nine international locations, such as Doha, Kuwait, and Sharjah.
Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India and part of the Tata group, operates over 400 daily flights across 35 domestic and 14 international destinations with a fleet of 90 aircraft, including Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s. The airline aims to enhance the travel experience with its ‘Fly As You Are’ ethos, offering personalized digital services and onboard features like ‘Gourmair’ hot meals, comfortable seating, and exclusive loyalty benefits, all available through its app and website.
