Bruce Springsteen released an EP today from his “Land Of Hope And Dreams” European tour, including the scathing comments he made about President Donald Trump.
Hours later, Trump posted a mock video in which he tees off and his golf ball hits Springsteen in the head.
Springsteen’s criticisms have triggered Trump, leading to him unleashing insults at the rocker, and later threatening an investigation into Springsteen’s endorsement of Kamala Harris, as well as other celebrities who backed her in the 2024 presidential race.
At his Manchester concert last week, Springsteen did not refer to Trump by name but said he was leading “a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.”
“Tonight, we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experience to rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring,” Springsteen said.
Trump responded by calling Springsteen a “dried up prune of a rocker.”
But Springsteen repeated his criticism at a subsequent concert. Neil Young came to Springsteen’s defense on Tuesday, writing on his website to the president, “STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made. Taylor Swift is right. So is Bruce. You know how I feel. You are more worried about yourself than AMERICA.”
Trump had also posted on Truth Social about Taylor Swift, claiming that she was no longer “hot” after he had said that he hated her following her endorsement of Harris.
